  1. Rick Riodran has written others books like the Percy Jackson series. This book is also similar because it is also part based on Egyptian gods and the Percy Jackson books are based on greek gods.

I would recommend this book to any body who enjoyed reading the Percy Jackson books or any body who has read a book by Rick Riodran

  2. This book is a lot like a normal persons life. The author does a lot of description to have the characters act and how they look. She also makes you feel like your in the story. Her description is so good that you can actually feel the pain a character is feeling. The book is great.

  3. The book I'm reading got me hooked. The suspence as the 14 year old spy faces Dr.Grief a supporter of slavery who wants to dominate the world will hook you. The one prediction I'm going to make is that Alex Rider will be able to defeat the evil Dr.Grief. I make this prediction based on the other Alex Rider books that I've read. In the end to all the books the world coquistor or threat is killed somehow by Alex Rider. He is what most kids want to become.

  4. Answers to Qs. 18 and 20 of Reading Spirals:

18: I wish the family's turtle Achilles hadn't died. The turtle was a funny character, and I had fun reading how Roger the dog got jealous of Achilles' attention. But when Achilles died it was a bit sad but quick, since Achilles only appeared half a chapter. I wish Achilles hadn't died.

20: Roger reminds me of my dog Mac. Curious, naughty and attention-lover. It's something both dogs have in common. But I wish Mac would accompany me on my daily walks through my garden like Roger does with the main character.

  5. 6: The author hooked me because she said that Ella was put under a spell, and I am interested in that sort of thing, so I wanted to keep reading it.

1: I like the book because it has lots of detail and dialogue, which makes it better/interesting. I don't like it because Ella has to follow every single order she gets, but I don't want that to change in the book, because that is what makes the story.

  8. Answers to questions about my book.
    10. I would tell Digory to stop thinking that the queen makes any help to the world. Just kill her and uncle Andrew. ( I'm not talking about Andrew Briety or Andrew Wang)
    22. I would recommend this book to all of Harry Potter fans, that like the parts of magic and mystery.

  11. Questions from reading spirals

Question 1: I love the book ´´Cross my Heart and Hope to Spy´´ because the author really gets you into the story and makes you feel like you’re there. One of the things the author did that I didn’t like though, is, that she used few characters and therefore, there is barely any dialogue,, and lots of inner thinking.

Question 6: The author of this book hooked me a lot because she always kept the book in action. Another hooking technique that she used was having a lot of different words and different ways to write her sentences. Many authors like her use a technique so that you can’t stop reading. They end one chapter with the answer of a problem just about to be said. It makes the book fun to read because you’re always wondering what will happen next.
